NYC Diaries

nyc-diaries-1Today I thought I’d share a little look into my trip to NYC this past weekend! I had such a blast with my friends and also made some new friends at a few of the showrooms I visited. I love NYC and am hopefully going to be living there in the summer if I get an internship (fingers crossed!).

nyc-diaries2We left so early in the morning. Our flight was at 6 a.m. Needless to say, I wanted to die. I am not a morning person at all! I hate mornings because it takes me forever to officially wake up. The only reason I’m smiling here is because I knew where I was going. I don’t look like this when I have to wake up early for school… nycdiaries3One of the first things I did was go to LOFT. I know, I know. But I needed to go to pick up a trench coat (which I am OBSESSED with) and ended up getting a few other things, too. This peacoat jacket is so cute and flattering. My mom said I look super equestrian, which works for me. Ha! See what I bought below… the boots can be found here.

nycdiaries4We then went to lunch the first day at Guy’s American Kitchen & Bar. It was really delicious! I had the burger with bacon and mac & cheese (but I had the mac & cheese on the side). Totally diet food, right?! I’m wearing my favorite blush jacket here and my leopard scarf that I can’t seem to ever stop wearing. The jacket is actually on sale right now! nycdiaries6 nycdiaries7So I went to go visit my friends at BaubleBar and it was so much fun! I love them so much and it was great getting to see actual items in person and picking things out to style. In the last photo, I’m wearing this necklace. I think it’s such a perfect piece to transition into spring and summer and it’s really light! You can find my outfit details below and I’ll also link what items I picked up from BB!

nycdiaries8I chopped my hair! I’m sure if you follow me on Instagram and Snapchat, you already knew this. I desperately needed a change and am so happy with how it came out! I go to Nunzio Saviano in NYC and my haircut was done by Maria, who I always go to for haircut and style! She is amazing and is the only person I would trust to cut my hair.

nycdiaries9On Saturday it was such a beautiful day! The weather was in the 50s so I didn’t really have to wear anything too thick. I had received this necklace in the mail and knew I had to wear it right away. It has blush stones and a polka dot horn… so cute! We went to Gardenia for lunch (so good and cute!) and then headed back to the hotel to rest…

What I’m wearing…

nycdiaries10On our last day, we went to Freeman’s Alley but didn’t get to eat there because there was such a long wait and they were no longer serving lunch. But, I will DEFINITELY be back next time I’m in NYC! It’s the cutest little restaurant and it’s hidden in an alley, which makes it even more quaint and adorable. We ended up going to Miller’s Near & Far in Soho and it was so so so good. The brunch there is delicious and the place isn’t pricey at all! I especially love that it is super small and cozy.

What I’m wearing…

nycdiaries11Overall, it was a really fun trip and I’m glad I got to spend time with my best friends Michelle and Richard!

Until next time, NYC…

This looks like a great time in the city! I’m not too far from NYC, and whenever I go there, I also visit a few stores that we just don’t have where I live. Your photos are beautiful – I’m so glad you had a good time!
