Lauren Ashley of The Fashionista's Diary

The Fashionista’s Diary was founded in January of 2014. Since then, it has become a space where women of all ages come to feel inspired, read funny stories, get outfit ideas and even learn a few things along the way! It all started as a way to chronicle my everyday life – from fashion, to lifestyle to all of the in-between. Since then, it has evolved into a personal style outlet where I share with you my different outfits and what I love about it all. Along the way, I may get sidetracked and share some stories with you, because after all, it’s personal. Not only do I want this to be a place where women retreat to read up on fashion and see styled outfits, but my goal is to have them leave the site feeling empowered and ready to take on the day – in true fashionista fashion! By mixing both high-end and affordable pieces, I hope to attract an audience that understands that looking good doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune. Something that’s special about The Fashionista’s Diary is that it doesn’t just focus on photography and fashion, but writing as well. Through my writing I hope to inspire, motivate, empower and impact every fashionista everywhere.

I’m a 24-year-old Miami girl and am obsessed with fashion, my family, my puppies and writing. Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved the feeling of being able to put together an outfit and have it all make sense. At the young age of 3, I requested that my mom stop putting my outfits together and I started pairing things together, thus creating my own ensembles. She still tells me that story basically everyday. I absolutely love my family and have such a strong focus on being able to connect with my readers, just like I connect with my family. To me, this community is my family and I want to be able to inspire you, make you feel better about yourself, and share my silly stories along the way. Whether you believe it or not, we all have that inner fashionista and it just takes inspiration to uncover your fashion potential. I want to be unique and not only post photos but talk to you, as if we’re having a conversation. Through my stories, I hope you’ll learn that no matter what obstacles life throws at you, you can always be a fashionista. After all, I’ve never believed in letting your attitude affect the way you dress. If I’m upset or sad, I dress even better than I would on a regular day! Why? Because how you present yourself is essentially what will get you through this crazy roller coaster we call life.

So, follow along fashionistas! I can’t wait to continue this journey with you. 🙂
